Narva Trans Throw Away Two Goal Lead in 2–2 Draw With Pärnu JK Vaprus
Narva Trans missed a crucial opportunity in their fight for Premium Liiga survival after drawing 2–2 with Pärnu Vaprus, despite leading by two goals.
Nikita Baljabkin struck twice in the first half, opening the scoring in the 19th minute before doubling Trans’ advantage in the 32nd after being played through by Stanislav Agaptšev.
Vaprus responded before the break, with Sander Kapper firing home in the 39th minute following a counterattack. The forward then completed his brace in the 65th minute, reacting quickest after goalkeeper Iker Venteo saved his initial effort.
Vaprus finished with 22 shots to Trans’ eight, putting the visitors under sustained pressure. The match also saw captain Magnus Villota return from more than five months out injured, coming on in the 82nd minute.
The draw leaves Trans without a win in nine consecutive league matches, with four draws and five defeats during that run. They remain eight points behind Nõmme United with six rounds remaining, leaving their survival hopes hanging in the balance.
